FEMA Wounded Warriors & Operation Warfighters FEMA is working to help those that have served our nation, including those who have service-connected disabilities, to find suitable employment while maintaining a sense of self-worth. FEMA's diversity outreach efforts, including those directly targeted to veterans, have continued as it works to remain connected to veterans support groups, as well as education and employment organizations.
Operation Warfighters provides recuperating service members with meaningful activity outside of the hospital environment and assists in their wellness. The program offers a formal means of transition back to the military or civilian workforce.
